Purposes and Usages

for St. Matthew’s Endowment Fund

4.1 Funds received in an unrestricted manner by the SMLC Endowment fund will be distributed for the following use, programs, and projects unless changed by the congregation of SMLC Rocklin. Disbursements may be authorized by the Endowment Committee for up to twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) or less and any greater amounts by the SMLC Governing Board. Authorization approval levels are determined by aggregating the requested amount with all prior approved and disbursed amounts looking back over a twelve-month (12) period prior to any recipient, inclusive of their relationship during this prior period of other disbursing entities.

  • 4.1.1. Professional and Educational Growth Uses for Pastoral, congregational staff and ministerial preparedness that enhance and enrich their spiritual, discipleship and managerial skills. Donors wishing to aid our young adults pursing college or their trade-school paths can consider restricted bequests which direct support in ways and means detailed and consistent to these wishes;

  • 4.1.2. Outreach Support of Community Evangelism and Human Care Needs of missions and initiatives that ease human suffering and reach the un-churched, whether its in partnership with Christian charities or those developed within SMLC Rocklin, and have as their focus to serve those near SMLC Rocklin's service center reach;

  • 4.1.3. Building Center(s) of Worship in nearby or extended area communities. Resources are to aid in the planning for, the preparation for workshop and the initial needs of self-supporting worship, thereby transferring the grace-felt blessings that are enriching members at SMLC Rocklin to other potential and faithful believers;

  • 4.1.4. And, such Other Missions and Ministries that fall outside the above three (3) boundaries and are recommended by two (2) or more members of SMLC Rocklin as a most urgent and immediate need to the church's calling to serve God's Kingdom.
