Last November: Mercy Holistic Ministry collaborated with St. Matthew Lutheran Church and Spirit High Charity Organization. Together, we were able to provide meals for over 100 people. Additionally, we donated 15 bikes, repaired more than 10 bikes, and offered 22 showers and 7 haircuts to those in need.
Acres of Hope is a spiritually based renewal center serving homeless women with children by providing them with a home and an environment of structured programming.
HOW YOU CAN Get Involved:
Donate goods, shop or volunteer at the ReNew Thrift Store. The ReNew Thrift Store accounts for 40% of Acres of Hope Income. Please reach out to the St. Matthew office if you would like to support the Thrift Store in come capacity. (Click for Details)

EveryONE Matters Ministries aka EMM, its mission is to provide refuge, restore lives, and rebuild community to families who are experiencing poverty and homelessness.
They are a Christ-centered service organization that empowers families to break cycles of poverty. They assist clients in the Sacramento Region by providing transitional housing, life skills coaching and mentorship.
Provide Refuge: Providing a safe and stable environment where rest and healing can begin.
Restore Lives: Informing with resources that restore the whole person & family: body, mind, and soul.
Rebuild Community: Empowering and creating healthy relationships and community to allow long term stability and ongoing growth.
Operation Christmas Child sending the gospel to the ends of the earth.
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations. St. Matthew is one of the churches who partners with Operation Christmas Child every year.
HOW YOU CAN Get Involved:
During November, each year, you can pack your own shoebox for a child and drop it off at St. Matthew. Contact Kelly in the Church Office for more information.

Each Year, the third week in November, St. Matthew becomes a hub to collect shoeboxes from around the area. In 2024 we collected over 3,200 shoeboxes. We always need volunteers during this time.

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children.

Casas por Cristo leads teams to build homes for families in need across Latin America and is dedicated to meeting the physical need of better housing as a way of also meeting the spiritual need for Jesus Christ.To date, they have provided over 6,500 families with homes.
