We are passionate about the next generation - not the church of tomorrow or someday, but an integral piece of the family of God… TODAY!

At St. Matthew, we partner with parents to raise disciples who are inspiring the HOPE OF JESUS in their circles of influence. We provide environments and experiences to grow youth UP (with their relationship with God), IN (with each other) and OUT (in their community). Our goal is that you would connect with leaders and peers in a supportive community who genuinely care, listen, and encourage you on your journey of faith.

Head 2 Heart is all about learning the basics of the Christian Faith in a way that connects the head (knowledge) to the heart (living it out). It’s learning to love God & others with all our heart soul, strength and mind that Jesus talks about in Matthew 22.

Our two year confirmation program is the beginning of your adult faith journey. The moment when you stand up and proclaim the work of faith that God is doing in your head & heart.

VALUES:

1) The Bible is God’s true Word, inspired by His Spirit, where He show us His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ.

2) Our ministry is Gospel centered in words and action.  It’s less about cleaning up your act and more about following Jesus and living daily in grace.

3) We believe disciples are built by engaging a balance of the UP, IN and OUT.

UP: relationship with God through worship and personal devotion
IN: relationship with one-another through small groups
OUT: relationship with our community through missional living

4) Parents are the primary faith educators.  The role of the church is to come alongside families; encourage and equip Moms & Dads to disciple their kids.

5) We teach by earning the right to be heard in students lives and pointing them to Jesus.  In other words, the Gospel compels to begin with love, care and compassion.  Anything short of that is a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

6) Fun and Adventure are always a part of what we do.

5 REALLY IMPORTANT BIBLICAL TRUTHS:

Nothing can separate you from the LOVE of God in JESUS
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. [ROMANS 8:38-39]

JESUS is the ONE WAY to GOD
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. [JOHN 14:6]

You are saved by GRACE through FAITH
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God [EPHESIANS 2:8}]

You are a CHILD of GOD
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. [1 JOHN 3:1]

You’re called to LOVE GOD & LOVE OTHERS
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ [ MATTHEW 22:37-39]
